My mom had HD, and when her symptoms worsened I became her legal guardian. At the time no one knew much about HD or how to treat It, so I made the best decisions I could for her.
I did Inherit the gene and currently have mild symptoms. I moved to Raleigh to be closer to family, my sister and her partner. I try to stay up to date with the latest research and work closely with my team at the Duke HD clinic to manage my symptoms.
