Education Day was such a great reminder of why we do what we do. Since my role is mostly behind the scenes, it meant a lot to finally meet people in person, putting faces to names I usually only see in Salesforce or on email threads. One community member even told me I was the first person he met at an Education Day in Greensboro nine years ago. That really stuck with me. Hearing from volunteers and speakers was so inspiring — especially Tanita Allen, who shared how she took charge of her health, managed her symptoms, and now speaks up for communities of color. It was a powerful day and made me feel even more connected to the community.
