Eastern North Carolina’s Premier Paddle Sport Event
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2026 Bear Town Paddle Battles at Lawson Creek Park in New Bern, NC!
Founded in 2021, this premier paddle sport event brings together racers and recreational paddlers for a day on the water while supporting an exceptional cause. Since its inception, the event has raised more than $35,000 to help individuals and families impacted by neurodegenerative diseases.
The 2026 event benefited HD Reach and its mission to help North Carolinians live well with Huntington’s disease.
Whether you raced, joined a fun paddle, participated in a group paddle, volunteered, or cheered from shore, thank you for being part of this incredible event.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in June 2025 in beautiful New Bern. With 39 paddlers on the water, it was a fantastic day of community, competition, and support for HD Reach. Special thanks to Ron and Guy for capturing the day through photos and videos!
