I choose my mom Sandy as my HD hero. Her CAG is 42 she's 69 years old and my everything. I've been pretty much mommas girl my entire life and I'm her caregiver, daughter, cheerleader still today. Mom always tries to stay positive and shows me what a real warrior is. We don't give up around here. May 2023 I received my own diagnosis of HD, CAG 41. I'm 36 years old stage one. We have been through a lot together and I'm so grateful to be here for her. To be able to be here for her. I want people to know it's not all gloom and doom. Mom had a beautiful full career as an RN and I still work. We take things one day, one hurdle, one new symptom at a time. We are warriors.
