Jacque Young is a HD Hero. Though she lost her 15 year battle with HD in January of this year, she fought the disease in many ways. Though she had to give up many things over the course of her 15 year battle, she never gave up the fight. She participated in numerous research studies and drug trials at Wake Forest. She also helped start and support 2 organizations, including HD Reach, that help people battling HD. She often said, my efforts may not help me, but they might help the next generation of people battling HD, so I’m going to try to do what I can. And that is exactly what she did and why she is an HD hero.
